NASHVILLE (TSU News Service) – Tennessee State University President, Dr. Glenda Glover, released her first 100-Day Report today, outlining her activities during the first three-month period of her administration.
During her first days in office, Dr. Glover began her administration by meeting with the TSU family, including students, staff, faculty, alumni and community leaders; and re-learning the campus, infrastructure and internal and external operations of the University. Her involvement resulted in 122 guest appearances including receptions, speaking engagements, interviews and other program participation.
Her first 100 days were spent literally hitting the ground running as she met with business leaders across Nashville, conducted 24 media interviews including an editorial review board with The Tennessean, was featured in two national trade publications and met with alumni chapters across the country to help increase alumni membership and giving. As a demonstration of her commitment to the University, she made a contribution of $50,000 and launched the President’s Challenge, which requested each alumni chapter to match her contribution. As a show of her commitment to the students she serves, she spent the night in the residence halls to see first hand the issues witness the concern of the students who live there.
As eighth president of the University, Dr. Glover has also outlined her vision to advance the institution into the future and includes student success and customer service; fund-raising and partnerships; diversity and inclusion; shared governance; and business and community outreach. Part of the strategic plan is an implementation of a customer service improvement plan, increased accountability for faculty and staff, student retention plan, and a campus master plan.
