Nashville, TN- June 23, 2014 – Contracts for Women Advocacy is pleased to announce the Women Owned Businesses of Tennessee Empowerment Forum will be held Saturday, July 26th  from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Nashville School of Law Auditorium at 4013 Armory Oaks Drive Nashville, TN 37204.  The purpose of this forum is to educate, empower, and begin the process of positioning, creating, and improving the economic prosperity of women owned businesses in Tennessee (https://contractsforwomen.com/Upcoming_Events.php).

“Implementing the Women-Owned Small Business contracting rule has been a top priority for the Obama Administration and SBA,” said SBA Administrator Karen Mills.

We will begin dialogue with Women Business Owners of Tennessee, Legislators, Representatives of Women’s Political and Professional Organizations, Business Associations, and other Leaders to begin developing a strategic plan intended to increase economic prosperity for women owned businesses in Tennessee.

Women business owners will have the opportunity to discuss challenges they now face in the process of the day to day operations of their business, bidding and procuring corporate and government contracts, and growing their business.  We will discuss contract opportunities open to women business owners under SBA’s NEW Mandate and steps we can take to position Tennessee women business owners for these opportunities.
