NASHVILLE, TN — Outstanding Nashville students Cortney Jenkins and Christian Marshall thought they were attending their regular after school program, when Nashville Pro Hockey Star Seth Jones surprised Jenkins, and Grammy Award-winning Singer Michael. W Smith surprised Marshall at their respective nonprofit organization’s headquarters in recognition of their remarkable academic achievements.
Jones, Smith and Sun Life Group Market Manager Anthony Russo surprised the students along with their supporting nonprofit organization Monroe Harding, Inc. and Rocketown of Middle Tennessee with a total of $110,000 in grants and scholarships at two special Sun Life Rising Star Awards presentations.
