Nashville, TN – The Lipscomb University Department of Communication and Journalism is pleased to host in partnership with the Council on Workforce Innovation and National Organization for Workforce Diversity the MLK Diversity Breakfast on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 8 a.m. in the Ezell Center.
In commemoration of the legacy and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this new event is aimed at inspiring interactive conversation among local leaders who are champions for diversity and inclusion by sharing ideas, addressing issues and rethinking practices that affect our multicultural communities.
Guest speaker will be Anthony Carter, vice president, global diversity and inclusion, and chief diversity officer for Johnson & Johnson. Carter is responsible for building a strategy to enhance Johnson & Johnson vision as a world class, benchmark company for diversity and inclusion and aligning this critical business process with the corporation’s strategic business objectives.
Carter will provide insight on the global corporation’s work in serving minority consumers, strengthening its pipeline to recruit, retain and advance diverse talent and supporting minority business owners through supplier diversity. He will also discuss how diversity and inclusion impacts the social justice imperatives in our communities.
