Event scheduled Sunday, Feb. 10, 1-3 p.m.

NASHVILLE – (February 4, 2013) – Dr. Ron Brown, author of We Have Not Been Listening: The Darkness, will host an exclusive book signing on Sunday, Feb. 10 at Barnes and Noble, located at 1701 Mallory Lane in Brentwood, Tenn. Guests will have an opportunity to hear from and share with the writer of the novel, which is currently gaining momentum as a transcendent inspirational read. The event will take place from 1-3 p.m. and will begin with opening comments from author, followed by the book signing.

We Have Not Been Listening: The Darkness introduces readers to St. Augustine, an African-American mega church located in the heart of Nashville, which becomes a welcoming haven for its community after a strange and inexplicable event leaves thousands suddenly missing. This work of fiction aims at shining a light into the self-deceptive darkness of human hearts by telling the story of church-going people who discover they’ve been left behind after missing the second coming of Christ.

We Have Not Been Listening is a love story. It’s about God’s love and mercy and about the many chances He offers us,” Brown said. “We Have Not Been Listening is not about developing a ‘Tribulation Force’ designed to find out what the Anti-Christ and Satan are doing. God is not about leaving us behind.”

The 200-page book, published by WinePress Publishing WA (June 4, 2012), is available in paperback at Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com and Christianbook.com.

Dr. Ron Brown is a Christian clinical psychologist in private practice and a partner at Integrity Behavioral Medicine, LLC, in Knoxville, Tenn. He is the author of two other books, My Father Has Left Me and I’m About to Go Off (1999) and The Mloonsaa Sydrome (2003). He is a member of the Association of Black Psychologists, the 100 Black Men of Greater Knoxville, Sigma Pi Phi Boule and Mount Olive Baptist Church East. Brown earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and his B.A. from Bishop College in Dallas, Texas. He is married and has one son.
