NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and presenting sponsor Sarah Cannon will hold the 15th annual Light The Night Walk Friday, Oct. 10, at 5:30 p.m. at LP Field.
Each year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society holds its Light The Night Walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer in communities throughout the United States and Canada. Thousands of participants carry illuminated lanterns and raise funds for patient services and research for better therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
This year Nashville will hold its 15th annual Light The Night Walk, which is 2 miles and features food, music, fireworks, a bone marrow drive, remembrance ceremony and children’s activities. The walk is open to the public, and participants can go at a leisurely pace, easily completing the walk in less than an hour. Actor Chip Esten of the ABC hit show “Nashville,” whose 14-year-old daughter Addie is a leukemia survivor, will speak before the event and perform a benefit concert after the walk at 3rd and Lindsley. The concert starts at 10 p.m., and all proceeds from the $40 cost of entry will go to LLS. For more information or to register for Light The Night, visithttp://www.lightthenight.
